He is truly a counter-culture if he is not even ordained and is able to produce such amazing works. In modern days, members of the religious are less free than the layperson to be exploring boundaries of teachings in Catholicism. I agree that the words that they used in catechism is not very helpful.
All man should be capable to understand the teachings, if they so desired. I think that is not possible under the current climate, as there are just too many jargons even for university graduates to turn their head around on it.
